The third album by Amstrong is finally out on vinyl. The album was originally released on CD in 2005 by Black Pilot in cooperation with German and Scandinavian labels.
Lack of You fits perfectly into the vinyl format:
9 songs on 2 sides of less than 20 minutes each. This will provide optimal sound quality. Ralv Milberg in Stuttgart has mastered the album to vinyl. The original bassy and luxurious sound with a raw treble edge is fully captured on the vinyl release. It sounds totally great!
The album was recorded in Kingston, New York by Malcolm Burn who has produced for Emmylou Harris, Iggy Pop, and Patti Smitt a.o. Malcolm Burn plays on the record along with cellist Jane Scapantoni who has played with Lou Reed and David Bowie. Jens Valo mixed the album.
Lack of You is printed on 180 grams vinyl and comes in the original artwork by Marlene Hald - including insert. The album is released on Black Pilot Records and printed by Nordsø Records in Copenhagen. Only 100 copies plus 24 special editions are printed.
